“Large crate delivered of mixed kiln dried birch and ash. 95% of logs were cut uniformly to length and 90% were of a cross-sectional size that will not need splitting further. The logs themselves are clean and there are few knots. Easy to stack. A competitive price for the quality, this is the second crate ordered and will certainly consider further orders in the future. The crate is used for kindling but does require a fair amount of work to achieve, but is very cost effective.”

“We have used Dalby for over 7 years and always are very happy with the product. We ordered a pallet on special offer and the delivery was unfortunately not to their normal high quality standard - it never arrived ! I contacted Olivia at Dalby who tried to get the delivery reorganised for the next day but sadly this didn’t happen. Since we were going on holiday I asked for the delivery to be rescheduled for about 10 days later. This she did and the pallet arrived as expected. They had some difficulty getting it off the lorry and it was clear that the original pallet had been badly damaged. It had all been put on another pallet and then shrink wrapped. Delivered a bit wonky with some loose pieces on top but all to the excellent Dalby quality. I’ll forgive them this one. Thanks Olivia!”

“Very good delivery service and the man was very helpful putting the bag of wood into the garden. The quality of the wood is excellent. The only question I will ask is the price of the wood going to decrease as a bag of ash for example has gone from £100 per bag to £180 per bag.”

Hi Susan Thanks for the lovely review. Correct the price of our ash has gone from £100 to £180 in 1 year but it is worth mentioning that our ash price was £100 6 years ago. An 80 % increase in 6 years is very good taking into consideration that wood prices have more than doubled this last year. Unfortunately ash prices are not going to decrease- it is running out fast. Other species have decreased and these discounts are showing on the website. I don not expect ash prices to rise any more for the next few months but i would not be surprised to see an increase over winter. Unfortunately ash die back has taken its toll on the species. On another note our Mixed British Kiln dried and naturally seasoned hardwood is mainly ash, so that would be a good alternative for future and is well prices at £125 and £140

“By far the best Charcoal I’ve used. Quick to light and get to cooking temperature, burns hot for a long time, and above all imparts a beautiful taste on food that has no acrid chemical taste like briquettes or instant light bags.”

“I would not use any other company for my firewood needs, I have been a customer for about 7 or 8 years now and have always found them to be reliable and extremely helpful, the quality of their logs is second to none and come in a tightly packed crate, I have just purchased a crate of maple and found it to be an equal alternative to the ash crate with a good long hot burn. Don't bother with any other firewood companies go straight to Dalby Firewood you won't regret it!”
