“I purchased a bag of Dalby Gold in May and the contents were fine for my new log burner, so I ordered another bag of the exactly same product in September, however after delivery when I opened the bag, I found a totally different selection. This second batch has logs of varying lengths and their size in most cases are too large without further splitting to fit my log burner. (see photo first batch at bottom, 2nd batch above). Not sure if I will order again.”

Hi Thanks for the review. The logs on the bottom are standard/thin cut and the logs on the top are standard cut. You ordered standard cut both times. If you had of notified us on receipt of the goods we could have done something about the issue but you have failed to report any issue at all. We can not deal with problems if we are not aware of them. Dealing with issues that are brought to our attention is what makes us different from other suppliers. P.S I am very sure that the logs on the top will fit into a standard woodburner. If they dont then you need standard/thin cut logs. Hope this helps for future.

“Delivery of this year's order was the day after the delivery day stated through no fault of Dalby Firewood which was no issue for me and on the day of delivery the driver couldn't have been more helpful and transported the wood crate into my garage using an electric trolley just where I had made a space. Times being what they are, companies that rely on the transport and haulage network have to be cut some slack so on this occasion I really have no reason to complain.”

“Great wood but terrible delivery. Unfortunately they use an unreliable delivery company that don't contact you (on 2 out of 2 occasions). Then they redeliver at a time that you don't agree to or can't make. Wouldn't recommend using Dalby until their delivery and customer service improves.”

Hi Barney, i do apologise that your delivery did not go as planned, but sometimes unforeseen circumstances do get in the way which are unavoidable. If a delivery cannot be made, the 3rd party delivery company reschedule the day after unless advised otherwise. On this occasion they kept your delivery until a day you were happy to receive.
