“Extremely fast delivery and a good price plus quality wood as always. The only reason for knocking off a point to 4* is that compared to previous similar purchases this one had a greater proportion of Birch and less Oak. Previous deliveries have been pretty much 50/50. I always assumed that it's meant to be equal proportions, so that may not always be the case and if I want equal proportions in future (which I usually do) then I'll order separate bags of oak and birch next time. Otherwise, spot on as always.”

“Had a couple of wobbles over the time I have been buying logs from them. After a phone call Dalby sorted the problem out quickly and fairly. Not many companies do that these days.”

“I have chosen this rate because I have always been satisfied with the way the logs burn and you always keep us up to date when they are in and when they are delivered. I would recommend you to other people.”

“Ordering easy and communication good. There was an issue with the delivery as the pallet (and the pallet truck) fell off the tail lift. This inevitably broke the pallet and the contents spread all over the drive. The driver and I shifted the wood to the storage location, which was up the flat access drive, but this took a considerable amount of time. It would be worth speaking to your shippers about this as it appeared to me that the tail lift was possibly tot robust enough for the load.”

Thank you for the review and i do apologise for the inconveniences caused, we were not made aware that this happened. I will be making contact with them to see what caused this as tail lifts are used with majority of our deliveries. Despite the slight mishap, i am pleased to hear your ordering process was smooth and we hope the logs are up to standard. We hope to hear from you again.

“Wood quality appears to be very good - delivery unfortunately was not so good. It would of been much more satisfactory if the driver made sure that I was present to oversee the delivery. In the end, I had to take the logs out of the pallet and store them myself as the container was placed in the wrong part of the garage.”

Hi Mel. We do not sell in volumes of 1m3. Our bulk bags, as advertised hold 0.8m3 loose volume (unstacked) so if you have split the bag and stacked the logs then you will loose all the airspace and get a smaller volume when stacked.

“The wood was very well packaged and it looks to be in very good condition with no old or wormy wood. The delivery driver was very helpful and able to put the full pallet exactly where I wished. I am trying new varieties and have not yet burnt any so am unable to comment on its burning properties. Having paid for the privilege of a delivery timed for between 08:30 and 12:30 the lorry was outside my house at 08:10 which caused the minor irritation of reducing the time I had to dress.”

“Wood is fantastic as always. Delivery a bit hit and miss, paid £10 for a timed delivery (PM) and it arrived in the morning. Not good enough when one is paying for a specific time”

“Got delivery in June 2023 so haven't used the logs yet. Delivery was great, the guy put them where I wanted them. I had some logs from Dalby last year, they were the easiest to light and burn. Not the cheapest, but, great company.”

“We have used Dalby for over 7 years and always are very happy with the product. We ordered a pallet on special offer and the delivery was unfortunately not to their normal high quality standard - it never arrived ! I contacted Olivia at Dalby who tried to get the delivery reorganised for the next day but sadly this didn’t happen. Since we were going on holiday I asked for the delivery to be rescheduled for about 10 days later. This she did and the pallet arrived as expected. They had some difficulty getting it off the lorry and it was clear that the original pallet had been badly damaged. It had all been put on another pallet and then shrink wrapped. Delivered a bit wonky with some loose pieces on top but all to the excellent Dalby quality. I’ll forgive them this one. Thanks Olivia!”
