“Quality of wood is great. However, the delivery company can no longer drive up driveways apparently… which meant that it was left on the side of the road. They couldn’t even hide it around the back of the gate… so would have been very easy for anyone passing to help themselves. Not sure why there’s a section in the delivery notes asking where you’d like the logs delivered to. Only took me an hour to move all the logs up to the house!”

Hi Kate All of the pallet networks in the UK have a policy of kerbside delivery, BUT 99% of the drivers will and usually place the pallet exactly where asked. Unfortunately we can not force a 3rd party driver to drive onto the property. This has been the terms for years with the 3rd party pallet delivery firms. Unfortunately on this very rare occasion your delivery driver was a selfish twat and left your pallet where you didn't want it. Very sorry that this has put you out. Usually if this ever happens we tell the delivery company to go and collect the pallet and bring it back to us, this usually works and the pallet gets moved to the correct location. Due to your delivery date so close to Xmas this wasn't possible. Please phone the office if you intend to order again and we will compensate you for the fault of the delivery company. “No quarrel with the product but when you pay for a set delivery date/time you expect to be kept informed if the time slot is likely to be missed. 30 mins before my time slot expired I recd a text saying to follow a link to obtain and ETA - when clicking on the link it advised me that and ETA was not available. The logs arrived two hours late and have obtained a refund of the delivery charge. Waste of a morning hanging around. Delivery driver said he had no idea that he was expected to deliver between 8.30/ 12.30 - as his firm deliver as and when they can. Seems little point in paying a delivery premium”

Thank you Bryan. The delivery company do try their best to reach the AM/PM slots but sometimes due to delays/unforeseen circumstances and especially at this time of year when the pallet network and under immense pressure, sometimes they can be running a bit late. I do apologise you were not informed. We always get in touch with the customer straight away but in this case the system did not display any delay hence why you were not contacted. You were refunded as soon as we realised the time slot was not met. Alternatively, i hope you enjoy the wood and have a Merry Christmas!

Hi Bryan After further investigation we notice that your previous 4 orders met the Am or Pm specified delivery time. Like my colleague mentioned, the pallet networks run into unforeseen circumstances and if we are not informed there is very little we can do about it. Joe Owner/Director
