“A great buy. The hardwood logs are perfectly dry, light easily, give out a lot of heat and burn for a long time. Stove is on everyday and two bags last most of the winter. Top customer service too. How they manage to get them over our hedge and into the perfect place I don't know (I've not managed to be there when delivery takes place)!”

“Last time we ordered the ash and were totally satisfied. We though we would have a change this time and ordered oak, unfortunately we are not as happy with this as the ash. We get a lot of smoke when burning some of the logs and when we tested with a meter it showed quite a high moisture content. Cannot fault the delivery which was excellent”

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're sorry to hear you weren't happy with the product, Oak does do the job of coal and therefore doesn't burn in the same way as Ash or Birch. “After ringing around a number of businesses for advice on the best wood to burn and information regarding wood burners, Darby firewood was, By far the most professional. I spoke to a girl called Sabrina who was very helpful. The wood was delivered 2 days later and I've been very warm ever since. 100% I'll be using Daley firewood next year. The wood is very good quality”

“Delivered on time very well palleted and straight down the drive in to garage. Just started using the logs and the burn well if a little quickly. Don't think they give as much heat as compressed sawdust logs though.”

“Dalby Firewood did exactly what was described on the internet - good dry wood well packed and efficintly delivered; I can also make good use of the pallete! Whilst slightly expensive when compared to local providers, the quality and quantity is assured.”

Thank you for your kind review. Unfortunately we have to pay for every pallet that gets delivered. Instead of ordering two bags, it is cheaper and better value for money to order a crate. This means more firewood for less money than two bags and qualifies for free delivery.

“I have been buying this bulk fire wood since we installed a wood stove 3 years ago. It is always of high quality: burns hot with a low water content. Delivery is prompt and problem free My only reason for scoring a GOOD and not VERY GOOD is because the wood comes in a use-once plastic builders bag which is not eco-friendly.”

Thank you for your review and your custom over the last few years. The issue we have with the bags Mr Coal is we are tied with health & saftly laws as these are single trip bags. The bags do stretch a considerable amount and it would be very dangerous to re-use the bags. Also we do collect the bags on our return and the used bags get recycled. This is the most eco- friendly solution.
