“Bought standard size bulk bag of hardwood. This had 20+ chunks of enormous logs that do not fit into log burner. Emailed Dalby and was telephoned back by a female who 1) told me that for the last year I had ordered standard/thin logs thereby implying I wasn't aware that standard size usually includes huge logs - except over the past 5 years I have also ordered standard and not encountered this previously (maybe the odd couple of logs, and 2) laughingly told me the thick cut logs are really really big - making me seem a fool for thinking the ones I had received could be anywhere near as big. Funny, but my friend buys the handy bags and had also found her latest bags to include these huge logs that she couldn't use either - having had handy bags for a couple of years. Dalby's solution? - I could repack all the logs off the rack back into the bulk bag, and I could buy the available standard/thin cut logs of birch for another £25. I have these huge logs, so has been a very expensive bulk bag as can't use them at that size. Excellent customer care? - not anymore it seems. Very disappointing.”

“Just had my first delivery from Dalby and it was magnificent. Very helpful driver put them exactly where we needed them and the Ash bags are super convenient and good value. I was accidentally sent a few more than I ordered and I’ve been allowed to keep them a great unexpected bonus….top class all round”

“I have been a repeat customer for over 8 years as always the Dalby Gold Ash Crate and kindling is excellent quality and delivery is 10/10. Apart from the price which has increased since I ordered last May 2022 due to high energy costs I would not order from another supplier as I have never experienced any problems”

“Easy purchase on line with quick delivery which we were informed about. Also - no idea how it happened but the logs were placed in the perfect location. We were having a stove fitted at the same time and the comment from the gents doing that was "blimey that's good quality wood" and they must know their stuff. We're fulfilling a long held dream of moving back to Yorkshire and a fire is part of that, so thank you. Oh and the fact it snowed that night made it even better!!”

“I have been a customer for some years and this winter having spent over 1.3k alone with you .. But alas the last delivery I got a note saying my delivery instructions were incorrect….odd for a few years now the logs have always gone in the same place and the instructions the same ….my advice would be allow more characters in you delivery advice box …very disappointed about the snotty note I was in at the time of delivery next time tell me to my face ….I am considering taking my business elsewhere….you have been great until that unexpected and unnecessary note. You want more information for delivery give more space on you web shop!”

Toby, i apologise that happened. The drivers intentions would have definitely not been to upset you in any way. It may have just been that he was struggling to understand the instructions. If you would like to call me and we can amend your delivery instructions so they are clear for all of our drivers? You have been a loyal customer for the past 3 consecutive years and we wouldn't want to loose that.

“We were amazed at the very prompt response to our order. Driver arrived within the promised half hour window and dropped off within the inch of our requested drop off spot. AND the gold logs are everything that was described. Excellent.”

“Clean and good burning ash. Pity price up by so much over last year. Liked the new pallet - nails pulled out easily. At long last pallet firm had a motorised trolley. Timed the delivery well - down to last two logs!”
